Stayed at the Premier Inn, and forgot to add breakfast with our booking. But, that was no trouble for The Talpore Beefeater. We had a warm welcome and were able to enjoy the unlimited breakfast options and pay when we were finished (same price as pre booking). It’s spacious, comfortable, very clean and had lots to choose from. BEV is a super star! She made us feel right at home, and added to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Her customer service is outstanding! We never felt rushed, or awkward with going up for more. Food was always being refreshed. And happy staff members could be seen checking in on guests and clearing away used plates/cutlery with speed. Thank you everyone, and extra thanks to Bev.

A Beefeater is a good basic value for money food outlet, if you understand that you are not going to be disappointed. Personally I am quite happy with eating at Beefeater, today I had the BBQ chicken melt. I would say it was delicious and just the right portion size. I did also order a side of onion rings and had the bottomless soda drink. Now, the front of house staff here are excellent and I would like to mention Chris our server who was chatty, cheerful, helpful and an all around nice chap, a credit to the Beefeater brand. So would I eat here again? To darn right I would.
I ate breakfast and dinner twice at the Talpore, whist staying at the adjacent Premier Inn as part of my cycling tour. Clearly it’s not the Ritz, but it is very friendly and excellent value for money.
The breakfast is especially good value: a wide choice of cold and hot, and all freshly cooked. In particular, Bev’s warm and friendly greeting added a personal touch and really made me feel like a valued customer. A great start to my day.
Morning, thank you Bev. After many anonymous flat Hotel breakfast restaurants it was great to come to a place where you’re welcomed with a smile and genuine warmth. Bev knew guest by name and it was wonderful to watch her chat to all the different guest as if they were family. Then the food was great, lovely bacon and the poached eggs soft and runny. Thank you for making me feel welcome and at ease on a big day, travelling to a part of the uk I’d never been to onboard a new distribution team. A big day for me and couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness shown.
Well done to the management team for creating a culture that fits hospitality at its core value of being hospitable.
Staff are amazingly attentive and efficient. So much so i remembered names to praise. Bev and Abby are great assets in customer service. In fact everyone there is good. The evening food is as expected from a chain as the price point is low (you get what you pay for) and if staying at the premier inn get the meal deal for even better value. Wines are overpriced poor quality with limited choice (read no real choice) which is a shame. You can’t buy corkage so just be aware if you love a favourite wine with your meal. Tables are well spaced and so are private which is good. The weekday breakfast cook is a star and you’ll overeat for sure which is ‘a more than you pay for buffet’ ! Go and stay and enjoy yourself for a value package.
